Interview with Ilse Werther!

We are back to complete our series on the science of reading with our very first guest, Ilse Werther! Ilse is a certified dyslexia and reading specialist, advocate, and expert in the Orton-Gillingham Approach. Her journey began over a decade ago when her youngest daughter was diagnosed with dyslexia after years of academic struggles. After being told by school professionals that perhaps some children aren’t cut out to grow up to be doctors and lawyers, Ilse followed her intuition that this was absolutely not the case, and later earned a degree in elementary education, focusing on dyslexia and child mental health. Ilse leads with integrity, passion and patience and we consider ourselves lucky to have crossed paths with her and honored to have her as a mentor :)
